As a young black girl in Mississippi, Del Anderson risked everything to stand up against racism—the first of many courageous acts that shaped her into a visionary leader who rose to the top of her profession in higher education and changed countless lives in the process. Del was the first woman president of San Jose College and the first woman and African American chancellor of City College of San Francisco.
